ŠKODA and Saimaa Cycle Tour want to encourage everyone to get moving. The Saimaa Cycle Tour is not a competition, but an international cycling event open to all, offering suitable challenges for cyclists of all ages and levels.
The Saimaa Cycle Tour's 300 kilometre is a real challenge for all cyclists. Alternatives include the 85-kilometre Jaakko´s Tour and the 38-kilometre Ruokolahti Tour. You can participate alone, with a friend, as a team or even as a work group.
For children, the Saimaa Cycle Tour offers a free ŠKODA children's cycling event. Children under 16 can join the 85-kilometre and 38-kilometre routes at a reduced price.

ŠKODA is the main partner of the event. ENYAQ iV full electric cars will provide as a front car for first cyclist groups on the 300 km, 85 km and 38 km routes and will transport the organisation's staff during the event.
"It's a really honor for us that ŠKODA is the new main partner of our event. We are united by safety, ecology and the desire to encourage everyone to get around and cycle," says Juho Suikkari, Event Director of the Saimaa Cycle Tour.
ŠKODA will be present at the event in many ways, not only on the cycle routes but also in the starting city of Imatra. There will also be a demonstration point in the Expo area, where you can get to know the ENYAQ iV model and the other latest ŠKODA models.
"It's great to be part of an experiential cycling event that offers participants a great time and a chance to challenge themselves. What could be better than cycling in the Finnish summer night," says Kari Aalo, ŠKODA Communications Manager.

ŠKODA Auto's roots go back to 1896, when Václav Laurin and Václav Klement founded a company that repaired bicycles and, shortly afterwards, also manufactured them.
ŠKODA Auto has been the official partner of the Tour de France for almost twenty years and has also supported top-level and amateur cycling in Finland for many years.
The Saimaa Cycle Tour, which started last year, aims to become one of the most prestigious cycling events in the world. The event was founded in 2020 by SCT Events Oy, which aims to bring the joy of cycling to all people interested in sports.
